20 weeks

Whooah, we're half way there,
Livin' on a prayer
Take my hand and we'll make it- I swear,
Livin' on a prayer.

Who doesn't love Bon Jovi?  I have found myself singing the lyrics of this song all day... we are definitely "livin' on a prayer" right now.  We are officially hit the 20 week mark on Friday.... halfway there!  While this is a great milestone, and we feel so blessed to have made it this far, we still feel like we are so far away.  I am not going to lie- these last few weeks have had a few "bumps in the road".  BUT Dr. Grant is a brilliant man who has been very proactive and so far everything we are doing is working.  We are taking it a week at a time and some weeks we are taking it a day at a time... and that is OK.  I have finally been able to let the peace of the Lord into my heart- I have been struggling with "giving my anxiety to Him" for 20 weeks now.  Why is that so hard? (my dear husband says it might have something to do with being a "major control freak"... whatever, Mark)

Anyway, we have our big morphology scan on Monday.  We are super excited about that.  While we have weekly ultrasounds, they are very short- they literally check the heart rate, bladder, stomach, and try to get a profile shot (which Baby W has not been cooperating with lately).  We can't wait to sit back and watch the show on Monday.  I also officially start school on Tuesday- I am certain that the weeks will fly by when I have 19 very sweet "distractions" to keep my mind occupied everyday.

On a side note:  please don't mind the disarray of the room in the picture- it is definitely a work on progress.  And no, I do not have big strips on my face- there is paint on the mirror :-)
