My fourth grade team were lucky enough to get approval to attend the 2011 National eMINTS Conference in Columbia, Missouri. So we worked our rears off on Monday and Tuesday to get ready for a three day retreat. Being a teacher poses a bit of a problem when you are not at school- your kids still show up ready to learn and be actively engaged. Sub plans are so hard (even though we have awesome subs)- who goes where when is just second nature to us. However, when you are responsible for making sure those kiddos still get to where they need to be while you are NOT at school takes some organization.
ANYWAY- our first day of the conference was today. It was great... so much information gained. I am now sitting in our hotel room, watching House Hunter with my friends Merrie and Melanie (in my pj's), waiting for the Shakespeare's delivery guy to bring us dinner, just relaxing! It doesn't get any better than this!
